Promise Land Farm has been in operation for well over a decade.  The last few years have brought some big changes for the Farm.   In 2006, Promise Land Farm changed ownership.  The new owner built a brand new 20 stall barn and expanded the indoor arena.  (As well as improving drainage, pastures, and more.)  In a wish to honor his family's history, the new owner added Oriente Stables to the property name.  So as a result, the original 30 stall barn is known as the Promise Land barn and the new 20 stall barn is known as Oriente barn. 

 

In late 2007, the managers of Promise Land Farm chose to retire.  The management position was offered to Shellie Kwitkowski, who already had a successful lesson program (Program for Equine Partnership) based at the farm.  Shellie stepped in to the role of farm manager in January 2008.

 

So we welcome you to this new chapter in Promise Land Farms/ Oriente Stables history.  We hope you'll share the journey with us.  As we begin to think about closing 2009, we are really looking ahead to further growth in 2010.  We have teamed up with several area Parks And Recreation departments, as well as area schools and camps to begin offering new lesson and camp programming for 2010.  As a whole, our mission continues to enjoy the bond between horses and humans.  To share that bond with so many others, especially introducing the joy of horses to children.
